"And what do you call the act?" "…The Aristocats!" Okay, so that's not the same film at all, and if you were to confuse The Aristocatswith The Aristocrats, let's just say the therapy bills for the kids could be considerable. But from the sounds of it, Amir "Questlove" Thompson is looking to entertain the family, landing a deal to make his fictional film debut with a live-action/CG version of the Disney classic.

Will Gluck and Keith Bunin have scripted a new take on the 1970 animated film about a family of Parisian felines who learn they are set to inherit a fortune from their owner. When the owner’s jealous butler kidnaps them and leaves them in the country, they must team up with a smooth-talking tomcat to try to make it back home before it’s too late.

Questlove, who scored an Oscar for his 2021 documentary Summer Of Soul, will also produce the film and oversee the music, bringing the full scope of his career with The Roots to bear.
