Quarantine 2 Trailer Goes Viral

The first Quarantine already diverged from its Spanish progenitor [Rec] by ditching the bizarre source of the zombie infection and going with something more "ordinary". The next US instalment is an original sequel to the remake, rather than a remake of the Spanish sequel, and the first trailer for Quarantine 2 is now ready to infect you online.

Subtitled Terminal, it's the moving story of a nationless zombie that's been living in an airport for two decades. Actually, no, it's not, but it does take place in an air terminal, moving the action away from the infected apartment building of the first film. Not that that means that anyone's safe.

Director John Pogue wrote the Rollerball remake, Ghost Ship and all the Skulls films, but this is his first gig behind a camera, and it seems he's chosen a much more conventional shooting style for Terminal than the handheld POV schtick of Quarantine and the **[Rec]**s. Does that mean his film will be indistinguishable from any other cheap post-28 Days Later zombie movie? We hope not.

Quarantine 2: Terminal will go straight to DVD at an as-yet-undisclosed point. Meanwhile, Spanish series creators Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza are currently at work on **[Rec]**s 3 and 4.
