QT Is A Muppet

Tarantino to appear in Muppet Wizard of Oz

There are those who love Quentin Tarantino's work behind the camera, yet can't stomach him in front of it. Then there are those who don't mind the super-chinned wunderkind when he has a crack at that acting malarkey. Of course, there's a very small percentage of the world's population who can't stand him at all, but they frankly, are missing the time-fractured, ending before the middle, plot. Anyone in the middle category will be pleased to learn that QT will be gracing our screens again soon; he's set to appear in The Muppet Wizard Of Oz, the latest Muppet movie based - yes! - on the L. Frank Baum's classic. Sadly, he won't be appearing as a Muppet (no hand up the bum antics for QT), but as himself - a role that even the most fervent of QT snipers would admit he's well-qualified to play. No word on the plot yet, or the actual Muppet line-up yet (although if Miss Piggy isn't Dorothy, we'll eat a yellow brick road). But as is the way with the starfucking Muppets, QT won't be the only celebrity peddling his wares. Queen Latifah and Ashanti will also be lending their R&B moves to the mix. Sadly, Tarantino won't be in the director's chair, which robs us of the delicious possibility of Kermit slicing off Fozzie's ears while dancing to Stuck In The Middle With You, but the job has been given to a fella with Muppet experience - Kirk R. Thatcher, who brought us the Very Muppet Christmas Movie a few years back. It's probably fair to say that the Muppet movies have been in decline recently, but with QT on board, anything can happen. Altogether now: "Lemme tell you what 'It's not easy being green' is about..."
