Promo Poster For Absolutely Anything Online

While it’s not strictly accurate to call Absolutely Anything a Monty Python film, it does promise a high percentage of the comedy troupe, even if we only hear their voices. The focus, however, will be Simon Pegg’s central figure, as demonstrated by the new promo poster that has arrived online.

The poster itself isn’t reallydesigned to sell the film to us punters; it’s actually a marketing piece aimed at drumming up interest from distributors that was spotted at the European Film Market in Berlin and comes to the web via Collider.

Pegg is set to play Neil Clarke, a disillusioned teacher who discovers he has magical powers. Well, not magic per se, more “magic” in the Thor sense, because the abilities come from some alien interlopers. The extra-terrestrials in question will be voiced by director Terry Jones alongside old pals John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin, with Robin Williams stepping into the voice booth to provide vocals for the main man’s dog.

As the promo notes, shooting isn’t set to start until late March, and there’s no word yet on when it might hit our screens. Still, given Pegg’s fondness for sharing non-spoilery behind-the-scenes images on Twitter, we’ll be keeping a close eye on his feed to spot any Pythonesque cameos on set.
