It could be the breakthrough role of a lifetime, and today the director of Peter Pan announced that he's found the boy that never grew up - American actor Jeremy Sumpter, 13. The search for the title role in Australian director PG Hogan's Peter Pan film received worldwide attention when the producers of the movie opened the casting to all and sundry. An online application form said they were looking for someone; 'handsome, charismatic, good-humored, adventurous and extremely athletic.' Whether Sumpter, who can be seen in Bill Paxton's Frailty which opens in the UK on 6 September 2002, manages to be all that remains to be seen. At least the director is happy; 'He embodies the youthful spirit this role requires,' enthused Hogan to The Hollywood Reporter today.
