PJ Hogan, last seen directing the underperforming Peter Pan, is back in Kidsville for Chasing Vermeer.

Based on a book with the catchy hook of “The Da Vinci Code for tweens”, Vermeer spins a mystery around a pair of sprogs who attend a Chicago based school for the gifted. The pupils team up to crack the case of a stolen painting by 17th century artist Johannes Vermeer. The book itself is loaded with clues and codes hidden in the illustrations.

Matt Nix has adapted the novel, and the project is casting now.
