Following yesterday's news that Keira Knightley has signed on for romantic drama Silk, the young Brit now has a leading man. Michael Pitt will take the role of Herve Joncour, a married 19th Century silkworm smuggler, who falls for a European woman while travelling in Japan. Though they don't speak the same language the pair communicate by letter, causing suspicion on the part of Herve's wife.
