Captain Phasma

The Force Awakens may take place 30 years after the Battle of Endor, but things don’t seem all that different when it comes to good and evil. The Rebel Alliance and Empire have been replaced by the Resistance and First Order and the galaxy is still full of nefarious big bads. Cue Gwendoline Christie’s ‘Chrometrooper’, Captain Phasma, who definitely doesn’t appear to suffer fools gladly, as evidenced by this new image.

We don’t know where Phasma sits on the evil scale between Domhnall Gleeson’s General Hux and Andy Serkis’ Supreme Leader Snoke or how much screen time she will have, but in terms of scoring cool points, Phasma is head and shiny shoulders above the competition.

For an in-depth interview with Christie and more Star Wars snippets, be sure to pick up our Force Awakens special which hits shelves on November 26. The Force Awakens flies into UK cinemas on December 17 and US screens the next day.
