Hard Candy star Patrick Wilson has signed on to star in Focus Features’ adaptation of Susan Minot’s bestseller Evening.
The plot finds a 65-year-old cancer patient (Vanessa Redgrave) contemplating her death and flashing back to the happiest time in her life. She ends up trying to cheer her two daughters up by telling them how she fell in love when she was young.
Also joining the cast are Claire Danes, Hugh Dancy and Toni Collette, with Lajos Koltai calling the shots.
