Outtakes Trailer For The Watch Online

Some trailers feature footage that doesn't turn out to be in the final movie (ahem-Spider-Man-ahem). Some films stick a blooper reel on the DVD, or even alongside the end credits. Here's a new teaser for The Watch that combines those two fine traditions{ =nofollow}, introduced by the director Akiva Schaffer.

"I wanted to share a part of it online, but I didn't want it to just be an ad like everything else," says Kiv. So what we have is a collection of clips, some familiar from previous trailers, some new, and most not from final cut. We learn that high-fives make great montages; Richard Ayoade has a thing for Asian housewives; bad things happen to Jonah Hill in super-bright lights; Vince Vaughn likes his jacket; and Ben Stiller has the ass of a twelve-year-old girl (in the posterior sense; he hasn't stolen some kid's donkey).

The film's about a group of suburban dads forming a neighbourhood watch group as an excuse to hang out and drink beer: a plan that comes somewhat undone when they find themselves up against a plot to bring about the end of the world. Hate when that happens. Stiller, Ayoade, Hill and Vaughn (who appears elsewhere in News this morning) are joined in the cast by Rosemary DeWitt, Will Forte, Doug Jones and R Lee Ermey. It's out in the UK on August 24.
