Oscar Isaac Added To Bourne Legacy

How things turn around… Just a few short months ago, Oscar Isaac (last seen struggling with a thin villain role in** Sucker Punch**) was on Tony Gilroy’s shortlist to snag the lead in The Bourne Legacy. So impressed was the writer/director with the Guatemalan actor that he seriously considered putting him in place before going with Jeremy Renner. But he clearly hasn’t forgotten him, as Isaac has now snagged another meaty part in the film.

Isaac will be playing Number Three, another brainwashed assassin (blimey there seem to be a lot of those about!) who will likely cause trouble for Renner’s character.

He joins a cast that already includes Renner, Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz.

Isaac is a man in demand at the moment – he’s working on Steel Town with Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis, and has the likes of Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, Madonna’s W.E. and Jamie Linden’s Ten Year in the bank awaiting release.
