French thriller Cache – directed by Michael Hanneke – has been tapped as the latest foreign film to be put through the Hollywood remake machine.

Plum Pictures have optioned the film, which stars Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche as a popular TV personality and his wife, who discover videos of their family and weird drawings in their porch.

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May and won the director award, the Fipresci prize and the prize of the Ecumenical Jury. It landed seven nominations at the European Film Awards and won prizes for film, director, actor, editor and the film critics’ award.

There’s no director, writer or cast attached to the remake yet.
