Writer/director James Gunn is in Atlanta preparing to start shooting the next Guardians Of The Galaxy. While we might expect to learn a lot of casting information from him via Facebook, the first piece has actually broken before he had the chance, with news that Pom Klementieff has been cast in a mystery role in **Vol. 2{ =nofollow}.

In true Marvel fashion, nothing has been released about the part, other than it called for an Asian actress and required a wide search and several auditions. Klementieff, usually found in French films, but who made her English-language debut messing with Josh Brolin’s mind in Spike Lee’s version of Oldboy, is now joining the Thanos man in the Guardians universe.

Gunn is working further on the script and setting up to shoot the Guardians sequel in February, with main cast Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and voice performers Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper all ready to return to duty. We can expect Michael Rooker’s Yondu to be making a nuisance of himself too, as he’ll be tied into the plot about learning who Peter Quill’s father is and it wouldn’t be a James Gunn film without him.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit our screens on April 28, 2017.
