The Good Lord of Remakes taketh, and the Good Lord of Remakes giveth. While Platinum Dunes’ Brad Fuller was telling us that the company’s Near Dark **remake was dead, he and his producing partner Andrew Form were also confirming to Shocktillyoudrop.com that their A **Nightmare On Elm Street **remake has today been given the green light – go go GO!

Although Platinum Dunes’ interest in the remake has been mooted for aaaaaages, the rights to the project were tied up with New Line. “I sit here every day and am hopeful that someone will call me and say ‘we’re good to go’,” Fuller told Empire only last week. And now, someone clearly has.

"It's our next movie," Form told Shocktillyoudrop, "hopefully shooting this spring."
