Nicole Sues The Sun

Knuckles are being rapped at The Sun today after a High Court judge awarded Nicole Kidman a five figure sum for a libellous news article. Kidman's barrister Keith Schilling told the court today that the story, printed in The Sun earlier this year, 'meant and was understood to mean that the claimant (Kidman) had had an adulterous affair with Jude Law, who was at the time married with young children. 'The article implied that the claimant had led Jude Law to cheat on his wife Sadie Frost,' Schilling continued, 'and by her behaviour caused the breakdown of their marriage.' Kidman, who is giving the money to a Romanian children's charity, issued a statement today saying; : 'I am glad that this has finally been resolved.'
