We love cats, you love cats and, most of all, the internet loves cats. What better way, then, to illustrate the poster for Nicolas Winding Refn’s The Neon Demon than with a furry feline? This one is definitely not interested in Cheezburger, though.

The Neon Demon

The big cat – an LA cougar? – was spotted prowling through [the most recent trailer](http://www.empireonline.com/people/keanu-reeves/elle-fanning-stars-new-trailer-neon-demon/

), symbolising something menacing at the movie’s heart. It finds the likes of Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, Karl Glusman, Bella Heathcote, Abbey Lee, Christina Hendricks, Desmond Harrington and Keanu Reeves in the story of aspiring model Jesse (Fanning) moving to the city only to find that it hides some very dark terrors.

According to the official synopsis: “[Jesse’s] youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women that will do anything to take what she has.” The footage suggests that Jesse isn't quite as vulnerable as she might first appear.

The Neon Demon is in competition at Cannes this month. We’ll see it in the UK on July 8.
