Dickens adaptation arrives in London

The cast of Douglas McGrath's Charles Dickens adaptation, Nicholas Nicklebyfavoured London with their collective presence on Sunday as the film had its UK premiere at the Odeon West End in Leicester Square. For those of you uneducated in classic literature (for shame!), the story centres around Nicholas, who is left penniless with his mother and sister when Nickleby senior departs for the happy hunting ground. The family breaks up as Nicholas is sent away to school (run by the marvellously villainous Wackford Squeers) but , along with best friend Smike, Nicholas runs away and set out to reunite the Nickleby clan.
