Star Trek star, Patrick Stewart may be in line for a part in the long-delayed X-Men movie. Director Bryan Singer (Apt Pupil) reckons that the project is at last on the move, with shooting set to start in March for release in 2000. Singer has reportedly spoken to the former Captain Picard about playing Professor Xavier, who helps the X-Men come to terms with their new forms (trying to adjust to the fact that you've mutated into a superman poses all manner of psychological problems, y'know). Singer also said that Angela Bassett is interested in the role of the X-Men character, Storm. Stewart has apparently not given a decision either way as yet.
