With the movie's marketing yet to kick into overdrive, Bryan Singer's Twitter feed is steadfastly keeping us in X-Men: Days Of Future Past goodies. It's already offered a first look at Wolvie and Halle Berry's Storm, and now @BryanSinger is back with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Hank McCoy and Logan - Nicholas Hoult and Hugh Jackman - with their '70s threads on, like a badass Hall & Oates.

The stakes are high for our mutant pals in Days Of Future Past. The future, stalked by mutant-killing Sentinels and filled with brutal detention camps, must be averted by the 1970s X-Men, with a link between the two provided by some sort of time travel. In the comics it's Kitty Pryde who mentally trips back to her younger self; if we were guessing, we reckon it could be Prof X who carries the warning this time.

If shepherding all this string theory and multiverse complexity onto the big screen sounds like herding Schrödinger cats, the director and his writing team have it under control. As Singer told **Empire, the key is "to create your rules and stick with them. That's why Terminator and Back To The Future work so well. And there are certain mechanisms in X-Men, certain powers, perceptions and characters, that make this possible."

On board is a *huge *X-cast, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy and Daniel Cudmore. Days Of Future Past is well underway and will be out on July 17 next year.
