Warner Bros. is bringing its big heroes to Comic-Con, but there was still room for the slightly smaller characters of The Lego Ninjago Movie. The new trailer is online.

Ninjago takes as its basis the popular series, albeit swapping some of the voice cast and opening up the story.

The Ninjago world is under threat from the evil Lord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), who is officially known as The Worst Guy Ever and is intent on conquering the land. To stop him will require a special team of ninjas, which just so happens to include Lloyd (Dave Franco), a lad still looking to find his way. Oh yes... and Garmadon's son.

This new trailer goes heavy on that aspect, with Lloyd talking to his mother, Koko (Olivia Munn) about whether his father was an evil warlord bent on world domination when they met. And there's plenty of action as the heroes go up against Garmadon's forces.

Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Pena, Zach Woods, Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson and the legend that is Jackie Chan make up the rest of the main cast. The Lego Ninjago Movie will be out on 13 October.
