Lucasfilm has finally revealed that George Lucas's new Star Wars movie - scheduled for release in May next year - will be called The Phantom Menace. Stories conflict as to the significance of the name, with some sources claiming that Phantom Menace was a villain in the Flash Gordon comics, while others asserting that it has roots in an old Golden Age Hawkman comic. Either way, this latest instalment of the Star Wars saga - a prequel which takes us back to before Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca defeated the Empire, to reveal the origins of Darth Vader and his rise to power - is set to be the most anticipated film in history. The cast list so far includes Ewan McGregor, Jake Lloyd, Terence Stamp, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, Ian McDiarmid and Liam Neeson.
