New Star Trek Into Darkness Posters

Clearly looking to break a record for how many posters can be released for one film, Paramount is wasting no time as the clock ticks down to the launch date of Star Trek Into Darkness. Another three one-sheets have arrived, and you can take a look below.

The first has Zachary Quinto's Spock in the middle of a volcano and looking like he's about to burst into song, Julie Andrews-style. Better that than bursting into flame... Then we find Zoe Saldana’s Uhura in full-on action mode, hopefully indicating that she'll get more to do this time around, and adds to the generally gun/chaos-filled atmosphere that J.J. Abrams and co are going for with Into Darkness.

As for the third, as you’ve probably seen from the trailers (the latest is below in case you’ve missed it) our heroic crew and their trusty ship the Enterprise get into a spot of life-threatening bother. Their ship insurance is going to skyrocket…

Update: two new international posters have arrived, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch's John Harrison - note the fluffy hair... if you like - and Chris Pine's James T. Kirk, running through the red wood we've seen the trailers.

With Saldana, Chris Pine, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Benedict Cumberbatch and Peter Weller all reporting for duty, Star Trek Into Darkness lands here on May 9. Update**: **Tick tock, tick tock... it's the sound of the U.S.S. Enterprise countdown timer as Star Trek Into Darkness idles on the launchpad. Here's some extra new posters to pass the time.
