Slumdog Millionaire is one of Empire's favourite films at the moment - and there is a new theatrical trailer online. The film, set in India, follows Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who finds himself just one question away from winning 20 million rupees on India’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Accused of cheating, Jamal is arrested and forced to unravel the story of his poverty-stricken life.

The film is another masterful example of Boyle's talent, and if you have any doubts about how gripping a film involving a fictionalised 'Who wants To Be A Millionaire' can be, take our word for it - it has drama, romance, suspense and thrills a plenty. Likely to be one of the sleeper hits of the new year, we suggest you jump on board the Slumdog Millinaire train, early, lest you be left sitting on the roof or clinging on to the sides as it marches it's mighty way through town.
