New Shame Trailer Online

Because of its racy content – which saw it branded with an NC-17 rating across the pond – there’s only so much of Shame that director Steve McQueen and his team can show off outside of red band trailers. So the editors putting together the latest promo for the film have chosen to go the lyrical route. Literally, in this case, since the mostly silent footage is overdubbed with Carey Mulligan’s character offering a sultry slow take on New York, New York. Take a look over at Apple.

Proving that she's got a winning pair of pipes, Mulligan plays a singer in the film, and the free-spirited sister of Michael Fassbender’s Brandon. He’s a man who cherishes his private life, which is mostly dominated by a string of love-free affairs with women that feed his sex addiction. But when younger sib Sissy asks to crash at his place, that existence is disrupted and begins to spin out of control.

Having scored plenty of festival buzz and good word-of-mouth, Shame looks to be another dramatic winner from McQueen and Fassbender. The film is out on January 13.
