The first full trailer for Scream 4 arrived last October, and now, thanks to the movie’s Canadian distributor, there’s a new batch of footage online, which can be watched below. Assuming you’re not freaked out by the sight of (a) people in Ghost Face masks stabbing victims or (b) David Arquette.
Wes Craven’s latest return to the blood-filled Scream well is set ten years on from when Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) was last stalked by the blade-baring lunatic. Despite logic seemingly hollering at her to keep away from her old hometown, she’s back visiting, having since put her shattered life back together.
Oh, if only she’d listened: there’s a new killer (or maybe it's killers?) in town, and they’re pulling out all the old tricks – scary, throaty phone calls, extravagant slayings and lots of red herrings. The rules, thanks to the recent flood of horror remakes, have changed, but the terror remains.
With Courteney Cox and Arquette back as Gale Weathers-Riley and Sheriff Riley, the veterans are joined by the fresh-faced likes of Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Adam Brody, Alison Brie and Nico Tororella.
