We may have only one crack-team-in-South-America-action-movie on our minds after attending Jason 'The Expendable****s' Statham's birthday party this weekend (yes, really), but these on-set shots of comic-book special forces unit The Losers shows that it is coming together rather nicely. Here we can see Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Clay, and Idris Elba, as Roque, during an action sequence, which actually makes the film look a little more like a detective buddy movie.
The movie is filming in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico and follows an elite U.S. Special Forces team in the the Bolivian jungle for a search and destroy mission which lands them in conflict with a mysterious and powerful enemy named Max, played by the recently announced Jason Patric.

The undercover team is made up of Clay and Roque, along with Jensen (Chris Evans), Pooch (Columbus Short) and Cougar, played by Catalan actor Oscar Jaenada. They are also joined on their mission by a savvy operative with her own motives called Aisha, played by Zoe Saldana.
Directed by **Stomp The Yard's **Sylvain White, The Losers is due in cinemas on April 9, 2010.
