New Motion Poster For Noah

More persistent than the rain, the **Noah **marketing campaign ploughs on with another poster – this time of the ‘motion’ variety – and it’s been YooToobed for you to watch before it can be spotted adorning the escalator wall of your nearest tube or train station.

Darren Aronofsky’s most ambitious movie since The Fountain, albeit substantially grander than that in scale and budget, **Noah **is shaping up to be one of 2014’s most intriguing multiplex offerings. Can it stitch together its Biblical, blockbuster and indie roots with the big action beats and star-heavy cast into something that's dramatically satisfying and cerebral in that Aronofsky style? Time will tell.

Early trailers point to a spectacular-yet-murky piece of world-building (and destroying) by the director and a stellar production team that includes costume designer Michael Wilkinson (a possible Oscar winner for American Hustle), DP Matthew Libatique (Black Swan), Synecdoche, New York production designer Mark Friedberg and Aronofsky's long-time composer partner Clint Mansell.

Aboard with Noah (Russell Crowe) are Naameh (Jennifer Connolly), Ham (Logan Lerman), Douglas Booth and Logan Lerman as Noah's scions, Anthony Hopkins as grandfather Methuselah and Emma Watson as a friend of Booth’s Shem. The dove's casting remains under wraps.

Tubal Cain (Ray Winstone) provides growly menace as a barbarian who has a violent horde and isn’t afraid to use it.

Co-written by Aronofsky and **Gladiator **and **Skyfall **scribe John Logan, **Noah **is shaping up to be a radical reimagining not just of the Old Testament story, but of Aronofsky’s career. Catch it in UK cinemas from April 4.
