The new Monsters Vs. Aliens trailer is up online, and Empire has an exclusive shot from the film. Showing Reese Witherspoon (centre) as the normal girl transformed into the 'monster' Ginormica by gunk from outer space, the pic also shows indestructible jelly thing B.O.B. (Seth Rogen) eating a police car and macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link (Arrested Development's Will Arnett) generally monkeying around.
Monsters Vs. Aliens tells the story of Susan/ Ginormica as she is picked up by the military, who hook her up with a band of monsters they have enlisted over the years, including B.O.B. and The Missing Link, as well as insect-headed Dr. Cockroach Ph.D. (Hugh Laurie). Together, the motley crew must fight to the save the world from imminent destruction by an invasion of alien robots.
Also starring Keifer Sutherland, Paul Rudd, Rainn Wilson and Stephen Colbert, Monsters Vs. Aliens could be the animated love child of a crazy Apatow movie and King Kong.
