Yes, drink in the sight and sound of a giant pooch voiced by Owen Wilson, who travels across country with his family to their new home in California (cue The OC's theme tune for a hugely topical music joke). Our hero has some trouble making friends with the local canine population (including Kiefer Sutherland as a gruff Doberman) before winning over everyone and getting the girl, in the shape of a collie with Fergie’s voice.
We really don’t feel like we’re the target market for this film – kids will no doubt lap up the slapstick action and “witty” repartee between the animals like dogs with a fresh bowl of Winalot, but after the onslaught of Garfield, Beverly Hills Chihuahua and G-Force, we’re just a little sick of chatty critters.
Still, if you can’t get enough of dance sequences featuring dogs, go fetch.
