We now know that Zack Snyder's **Man Of Steel **will involve no Kryptonite, so there's no chance of Supes being felled by a stray piece of glowing rock this time around. That said, there's a high chance of Supes being brought down to earth by one Mr. General Zod (Michael Shannon) and from the looks of these new stills from EW, he really does mean business.
In total, there are nine new snaps over at EW.com for you to take a look at, but may we point your eyes in the direction of Antje Traue's Foara, seen twice here - once with some sort of Prometheus-like headgear as she wraps her hands around Amy Adams' Lois Lane. In Superman and** Superman II**, Ursa was based on the comic book character of Foara, whose key trait was an extreme hatred of men, save for Zod.
Whether this remains the case in the 2013 take on the beloved superhero's story remains to be seen, but it's something to bear in mind in advance of the next trailer...
With a script by David Goyer, Man Of Steel features Henry Cavill as the suited and booted hero himself alongside Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Ayelet Zurer, Richard Schiff and Christopher Meloni. It lands on June 14.
