Those fine folks at USA Today have got their hands on the first images from Nicolas Cage's upcoming apocalyptic-tinged thriller Knowing. Click the image below to take a closer look.
Directed by Alex Proyas (the bloke behind I, Robot and Dark City), it's a sci-fi tale about a teacher (our man Cage) who digs up a time capsule at his son's school. He soon discovers that the notes hidden in the box are portents of major disasters that he must race to stop from ever happening.

Slated for an early 2009 release, from the evidence of these pics it's looking like a suitably tense affair.
