We’ll just come right out and say it: Matthew Vaughn’s **Kick-Ass **does just that: kick ass. In fact, it kicks ass so hard it should be illegal.
The costumed crimefighter flick opens here on April 2, but to tide you over in the meantime, a second trailer has just gone online, laying out more of the film’s plot and introducing us to Nicolas Cage’s Batman-a-like, Big Daddy, his young daughter, Hit Girl (although they leave out, for obvious reasons, her glorious deployment of the C word) and, of course, Aaron Johnson’s wannabe superhero, Kick-Ass.
But it’s also a superbly cut trailer that captures the film’s sense of punkish fun, while showcasing some – but not all – of its stunning action sequences.
