There are but a few more sleeps until Iron Man 3 touches down in our cinemas. American audiences, including someone writing these very words and wiping away bitter tears as he does so, will have to be a little more patient as the movie doesn’t hit US screens until May 3. But those checking the film out in IMAX 3D across the pond will get a little extra treat to soothe their stressed, impatient nerves as limited runs of the new IMAX poster will be available. Take a look below.
Designed by ace artist Jock (who was responsible for some similarly release-adjacent art for **The Dark Knight Rises), the poster is part of Mondo and IMAX’s 12:01 series, which rewards people who make that extra cinema-going effort and hit the midnight screenings. It’s actually the last one to be produced, though the IMAX site promises something new for the future.
For a list of US cinemas participating, head to IMAX’s blog. There’s no word yet on whether any of the UK IMAX screens will have these available, but keep your fingers crossed.
