Despite its star’s still vaguely toxic reputation, Summit Entertainment is pushing ahead with its plan to release Mel Gibson comedy The Beaver. And now the company has released not only a new image from the film, but also word that the trailer will arrive shortly.

The trailer will apparently premiere across the pond today on Entertainment Tonight before hitting the Interwebs after that. We’ll keep our eye out.

The Beaver, written by Kyle Killen and directed by Jodie Foster, finds Gibson as Walter Black, a man going through some serious problems in his life. Unable to deal with them in a conventional method, he sparks to using a beaver hand puppet as a way of shielding himself from the pain. Foster co-stars as his wife, while Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence and Riley Thomas Stewart all feature.

So the question for you lot is – will you see it? Can you put aside Gibson’s drunken/shouty/ranting escapades to watch the movie without prejudice? Tell us…
