The next few days have been dubbed Tolkien Week, marking the 75th anniversary of The Hobbit’s publication, and to show his appreciation of the man without whom none of the Lord Of The Rings film franchise would be possible, Rings-keeper Peter Jackson has decided to treat the world with some new stills from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In the gallery below, you’ll find the first offering, a new set of character shots featuring Martin Freeman’s Bilbo, the dwarves and Gandalf.{New Hobbit Character Art}

Speaking in a new video on his Facebook page, Jackson also mentions that he’ll debuting a brand new trailer for the first of his Hobbit trilogy on Wednesday, which should feature some brand new footage from** An Unexpected Journey**. And that’s not all – Jackson promises some special content.
