The first trailer from **Dinner For Schmucks focused mainly on the leading pair and the basic set-up for the remake – smug corporate types invite people they consider idiots to a dinner and make fun of them – but now a second promo for the Steve Carell/Paul Rudd/Jay Roach comedy has arrived, ladling out the screen time to a few more of the thesps involved.

And what a line-up: David Walliams, Zach Galifianakis, Jemaine Clement, Bruce Greenwood, The Daily Show’s Larry Wilmore, Ron Livingston, Chris O’Dowd, a vulture… the list goes on and on. We particularly like the Spaced-style fake mental gunfight that Carell’s Barry gets into with Galifianakis.

The rough plot finds Rudd as Tim, a high-flying executive being groomed by his boss (Greenwood) for big things in his company. Part of his initiation will involve being invited to his annual Dinner for Extraordinary People and tasked with finding someone suitably eccentric to take as his guest.

That’s when Tim runs into Barry – literally, with his car – and despite Barry’s sweet nature, decides that this mouse-stuffing, diorama-creating buffoon is prime fodder for the mockery-fest. Naturally, chaos ensues and even Tim starts to question the merit of ridiculing people like Barry.

Dinner For Schmucks, which yes, Francophiles, is the Hollywood do-over of French hit Le Diner De Cons, is out on August 20.
