It's the Kick-Ass version!

We got our first look at Woody Harrelson's low-budget superhero spoof Defendor last September, but now with the similarly themed (well, same ballpark) Kick-Ass getting all the right sort of attention, Trailer Addict have a newer, slicker version of the trailer.

Directed by noob Peter Stebbings, the film sees Harrelson as Arthur Poppington, who dons a tin hat, a greasepaint eyemask and a Home Alone arsenal by night to become lone avenger Defendor (that's Defen-dor!) and hunt down his arch nemesis Captain Industry. Sandra Oh, Kat Dennings and Elias Koteas co-star.

The new trailer very much sells this as an action comedy, and there's plenty of evidence to suggest that Koteas, who we always love to see, is having more fun here than he's had for ages. But what's missing this time are the glimpses of a stressed-out Poppington out of costume, which hinted that this might actually be more of an Unbreakable than a Mystery Men.

No UK release date yet, and its very limited run in the States suggests that, sadly, this might go straight to DVD. If that's the case, Harrelson and co can at least console themselves with almost certain "breakout" status in Kim's Video Dungeon.
