Some films are content to put out two or three character posters. Others go for a more ambitious eight or nine. But that's not enough for Vin Diesel and xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, which has put out 12 – count 'em – 12 new images. You can find (and count) them at the bottom of the page.

The story this time around sees occasional government operative Cage (Diesel) brought out of self-imposed exile to find and take on new warrior Xiang (Donnie Yen) and his group of skilled fighters who have stolen a seemingly unstoppable weapon that carries the somewhat unoriginal moniker Pandora's Box.

Yen and other members of the cast, including Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose and Game Of Thrones' Hound himself, Rory McCann, are immortalised in watercolour-esque glory. We're almost as intrigued by some of the performers' names (Neymar Jr? Nicky Jam?) as we are about the characters. But let's be honest here: this will be all about the stunts and set pieces.

With Samuel L. Jackson back as Agent Augustus Gibbons and D.J. Caruso calling the shots, the new movie will be hitting out screens on 20 January. Head this way to check out xXx: Return Of Xander Cage's most recent trailer ahead of the new one arriving Tuesday. And then see the posters...
