Given its fantastical nature, Comic-Con was always going to be a big part of Amazon's promotional campaign for Carnival Row, and so it proved, with a panel and an "activation" – or a recreation of a couple of the show's sets. The panel included stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, and featured two new teasers, which explore their characters. First up is Delevingne's, Vignette Stonemoss.

Carnival Row is set in a Victorian-esque fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose exotic homelands were invaded by the empires of man. This growing population struggles to coexist with humans – forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate (Bloom), and refugee faerie Stonemoss rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society. Vignette harbors a secret that endangers Philo’s world during his most important case yet: a string of gruesome murders threatening the uneasy peace of the Row.

Developed from Travis Beacham's long-in-development screenplay, the series has Marc Guggenheim, René Echevarria, and Jon Amiel as showrunners is set to debut on the streaming service on 30 August.
