Bruce Lee's family are working with Hong Kong's JA Media on a trilogy of movies on the life of the legendary martial artist, according to Variety.

Tony Leung Ka Fai (not the Tony Leung that works with John Woo: he's Tony Leung Chiu Wai) is confirmed to star as Lee's father. No other production details have come to light as yet, but Variety suggest that Zhang Yimou might be a likely director, given his interest in such a project in the past.

Lee died 36 years ago this week, but is as big a star today as ever. His Tao of Jeet Kune Do is still a top-selling bible for aspiring ass kickers.

Here's hoping this is the definitive Life of Bruce. Who would you like to see cast as the man himself?
