Who Needs Listings?

Japanese car manufacturers have begun taking the in-car navigation system one step further. Instead of merely telling you how to get somewhere by the shortest possible route, or without having to make a right turn or pass anyone with an Anthea Turner haircut, they can now tell you where to go to see the movie of your choice. The new enhanced system is the Pioneer AVIC-D919 navigator, which uses two DVD disks instead of a single CD-ROM, and will contain movie listings and other entertainment schedules as well as the basics. So now top executives will have to learn to drive no-handed, as they check out the listings with one hand, book the tickets on their mobile phone with the other, and run headlong into a pedestrian precinct.
