She's seeing big success at the moment with Netflix's Russian Doll, and Natasha Lyonne's headed back into the world of cine-comedy with political satire Irresistible.

Former Daily Show host-turned-filmmaker Jon Stewart is at work on the film, which he also wrote. Irresistible finds a Democratic political consultant (Steve Carell) looking to help a retired ex-Marine colonel (Chris Cooper) run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town.

Rose Byrne is playing Carell's Republican opponent, while the cast also includes Mackenzie Davis and Topher Grace. We don't yet know what role Lyonne has in the movie.

Lyonne will also be seen in Honey Boy, which is loosely based on Shia LaBeouf's upbringing. The indie drama has just been announced as arriving on US screens on 9 November, but hasn't yet secured a UK slot.
