An Empire Online spy wandering through London's Barbican Centre today spotted this unusual sight in the centre's main hall - the first installment of the upcoming Art of Star Wars exhibition - a Naboo Starfighter.
The one ton spaceship is the original model from Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and was made here in Blighty for the film. At over 30 feet long and 28 feet wide it's one of the exhibition's bigger installations, but will be rivalled by the arrival in the next few weeks of a full-size version of Anakin's podracer. To book a ticket for the exclusive Empire Readers' Evening at The Art of Star Wars on Thursday 8 May 2000 call 020 7638 8891. And look out for the special exhibition supplement which accompanies the May issue of Empire (due out 1 April 2000). We'll also be having many special offers here at Empire Online which will be exclusive to Empire readers. Keep a look out for further details.
