Movie Theatre Bans Mobiles

No phones allowed in Michigan cinemas

The bane of many movie-goers lives has been banned by one US cinema chain, the first ever to do so. Entertainment News Daily, a US website, reports that the Michigan-based Star Theatre chain has had its fill of tweetings, bleepings and bleatings from patrons mobile phones, so it's laid down the law and banned their use inside its cinemas. It's not known if the chain will also be banning big hair, very tall film buffs, chattering types and of course, snogging couples.
