My, he's a versatile chap. He's played a chauffeur, a convict, the President and even God in upcoming pic Bruce Almighty, and now Morgan Freeman is set to appear in his very own fairytale. Quite what role he's slated for is yet to be made public, but Freeman has apparently agreed to star in Luc Besson's self-penned fairytale Arthur et les Minimoys (Arthur and the Minimoys) published in France last month. In what will be the wonderfully loopy Besson's first directorial jaunt since 1999's painful Joan of Arc, the film will start production in January and follows the adventures of the ten-year-old Arthur of the title who gets dragged into the magical world of the Minimoys. Not only does he have oodles of other future projects coming out of his extremely dignified ears, but if Freeman bags the right role in Besson's flick, this one could run and run. Inspired by an original idea of a mate of his, Besson has already promised another book for next Spring and hopes of a film franchise too are high. Harry, who? Arthur's obviously the new kid in town.
