While we’re still hoping that Mitch Hurwitz lives up to all the chatter about an Arrested Development film, the director of the cult comedy has his eye on something else he may bring to the big screen. He’s attached to direct medical testing comedy **Guinea Pigging{
Written by **Night At The Museum **duo Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, Guinea Pigging is adapted from Carl Elliott's 2008 article in the New Yorker (read it here) which focused on otherwise healthy human beings who agree to enrol in complicated, sometimes dangerous medical experiments and drug tests, balancing the payday against possibly serious side effects.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be a “sophisticated comedy about a human drug test subject who volunteers for testing at a pharmaceutical company and experiences unusual side effects.” Fox 2000 is putting the cash up for the film, which might end up as Hurwitz’ feature directorial debut.
Lennon and Garant, meanwhile, have been busy writing the third Night At The Museum film, this time sending Ben Stiller’s Larry Daley to London. Shawn Levy is already shooting, so everyone be on the lookout for roaming exhibits.
