It’s A Mistry

Jimi Mistry, best known for his roles in East Is East and Eastenders, will play the lead in The Guru Of Sex alongside Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei. Mistry will star as an Indian man called Ramu, who goes to America in search of success. Circumstances conspire so that he ends up becoming a sexual guru, who preaches that true enlightment can be achieved through sex. Heather Graham plays his girlfriend, whilst Marisa Tomei is the woman who helps him on the road to fame and fortune. The story was based on a idea by Elizabeth director Shekhar Kapur, and written by Tracey Jackson. The film will be directed by Daisy Mayer, who previously made Woo and Party Girl. Jimi Mistry can currently be seen in David Kane's Born Romantic.
