Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The news that Mission: Impossible fans have been waiting for is here – thankfully not delivered via a pair of exploding sunglasses. The next instalment in Ethan Hunt’s spy saga has a title, and it’s officially called Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

Breaking the two-word naming tradition of recent entries (Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation), the latest Mission reteams Tom Cruise with director Christopher McQuarrie. It’s the first film in the long-running franchise to see a director return.

In keeping with the series’ ever-increasing scale in its signature setpieces, Cruise has promised his Instagram followers that they’ve “upped the ante” yet again – yes, somehow it’s going to get even crazier than Cruise strapped to the side of a plane as it takes off. A shot of Hunt clinging on to the side of a helicopter gives a glimpse of what to expect when Fallout hits this summer.
