The idea of a character being thrown into an espionage situation with little in the way of training was thoroughly explored and exploited to solid comic effect in Spy. That isn't stopping another comedy trying something similar, and Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon are the ones dealing with villains, explosions and more in The Spy Who Dumped Me's first trailer.

Susanna Fogel co-wrote the script with David Iserson and directed the movie, which finds the stars as best friends who are always there for each other. When Audrey (Kunis) discovers that the boyfriend (Justin Theroux) who dumped her was actually a spy, they become entangled in an international conspiracy.

Cue much running around, attempting to commandeer cars and an ill-advised effort to swallow a data stick. We'll have to wait and see how this one measures up, but the cast is at least full of interesting people including Gillian Anderson, Sam Heughan and Ivanna Sakhno. The Spy Who Dumped Me will be out in the US on 3 August and heads to the UK on 10 August.
