Since Daredevil’s debut last year, Netflix’s MCU extensions have become streaming highpoints, boasting conflicted heroes, neatly meshing plot threads and delivering fight scenes so awesome they practically shake your telly. So it’s a coup to announce that one of those superheroes, Luke Cage himself, Mike Colter will be at American Airlines Presents Empire Live to talk about the show.
Colter will be in attendance at The 02 on the afternoon of 24 September to introduce some exclusive content from Luke Cage: Season 1. He'll also be answering questions about the direction the show will take, his career and the character himself. The Defenders might just feature somewhere along the way.
Luke Cage, of course, is the most reluctant of heroes. Once a prison inmate, he finds finds himself endowed with super strength and unbreakable skin after an abortive experiment. Season 1 of Jessica Jones showed him trying to rebuild his life in Hell’s Kitchen. He’ll be doing likewise in Harlem in his first solo season. Judging by the trailer, without much success. Gangster types will be rattling the Cage. Biiiig mistake.
